Performa 275 purchase and overclocking?

So I purchased one of these from Japan for around $150. There were no pics of the insides, so I was kind of on edge since it could have had an exploded battery.

Well, I got the machine and not only was there no exploded battery, there was a Mystic upgrade already in it (575 board) with a Daystar PowerCard 601 66mhz card and an ethernet card in the comm slot.

I guess my question is there any way to upgrade the daystar card to 100/120 mhz variant? Has this ever been done? Yeah I know the PPC processor is extremely fine pitch and would need replacing...that's no problem. I'm just wondering if it's possible at all.

Nice surprises there - Daystar made the same card @ 100Mhz, so it is feasible, however if you consider replacing a CPU like that easy - my hat is off to you! I'd overclock it to 80Mhz and be done though.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I do see that 100 mhz version, but it seems to be a different pcb? So that's why I'm on the edge about it hah.
