Thanks to some super-lucky timing with a local(ish) Craigslist ad last night, my family and I returned from a ~3 hour round-trip drive with the rear-end of my trusty Prius riding much lower than normal
Here's an album with pics: https://imgur.com/a/UBvt3MO
Also pictured is my ever-loving, ever-supportive wife, who (when I nervously proposed this latest NeXT pickup drive) sat bolt upright on the couch and said "YES, CALL THE GUY AND LOCK IT IN! THAT'S A GREAT DEAL!!"
Not entirely visible in the car-pic are two more boxes stashed in the back seat: a complete-in-box Apple LaserWriter II (with optional Ethernet card installed!), and a plastic bin LOADED with NeXT manuals, software, magazines, stickers, etc.
The stuff all belonged to a really lovely guy who had been a NeXT Campus Rep back in 1991-1992 era. He used to travel around to various universities in the Midwest with this stuff (the boxes still have their regional airline luggage stickers!) doing campus demos. He was up front about the fact that the machine doesn't currently boot, but for the price I paid, I honestly don't even care - I would've paid the same amount for the accessories and printed materials alone. So excited!
I'll take some time to sort through everything over the next few days, and if there's interest I'll keep sharing more updates and info - there's a lot of cool stuff here!
