I have a Macintosh II that was working fine until I changed out a video card. Then I got sad mac chime. Reinstalled the original card and still get a sad mac chime.
I have done the following:
Recapped the board
Changed the RAM, with known good ram.
Voltages all check out.
Fresh Batteries
Tried different nubus slots with working video card.
Removed and reinstalled ROM chips.
Replaced all the simm sockets with new sockets, one of the tabs had broken so I thought maybe it wasn't making good contact and just replaced them all.
inspected whole board for anything that looked blown or unusual.
I always get a sad mac chime with no video. Any thing else I should be looking for?
