Now you get to enjoy that feeling that whatever the problem was wasn’t truly fixed and will come back at some point… whether it ever does or doesn’t it will always be in the back of your head.
Ah yeah, I remember you showed me this some time ago. You can definitely have my case plastics after I've done the swap!PM me when you do - I could be up for your broken front. I have a CC that suffered far worse :

Cool. LMK. We can see what I have that'd be useful to U in exchange. You can definitely have my case plastics after I've done the swap!
I already found a NOS British keyboard which is now fitted to my 1400c. Incidentally I think this machine came from @slomacuser originally. It's fun when a machine makes the rounds.Oh nice!
You seem to have collected a few German machines lately!
Also I think I have a spare 1400 UK keyboard if you want to swap it out for something more style appropriate. (And I need to test a couple of CPUs for a 1400 that I found for @croissantking so I kinda need to get to some 1400 stuff anyway )
Yep, on the list of things to do... at some point. The battery needs to be rebuilt too, the current one has swollen slightly (don't worry, I am not keeping it in the PowerBook).that’s a sweet looking 165c! It may need a hinge fix part soon though, and an LCD recap while you’re at it.
€240 all in. The actual item before taxes/shipping was 150 euros. How much did that cost? I desperately want a IIfx again!
So far it's cleaning up well. F245s and the like have some cap goo on them but all the important stuff looks good. Not bad! Hopefully you can revive it! At least it has separate pads for the tantalums, so even if the current ones are damaged there’s a chance the new pads are just fine!
