Looks great, I cant wait to get some. I believe I expressed an interest earlier for getting some of these but happy to support @digitalrampage who is offering to bring a bulk lot into Oz too.

For visibility: the first batch are basically all spoken for at this point. I'm ordering a new batch of boards. That means 50 of the things will be out in the wild, which is very nice!

I'll resume contacting people who wanted some when I have some more to send out!

New batch has arrived! I'm going to do a stress test on one of them tonight, as I've had to change a couple of components for availability reasons (the replacements should be identical, but it never hurts to be careful.)

I'll say – I so love the attention to the charming PCB and product design :) It really reminds me that Macs are supposed to be, well, fun first.
Right next to Siliconinsider's fun RAM designs, and Bolle's Easter egg logos.

New boards tested and working! Now all I need is some more nylon screws because I can manage my own supplies like a functional adult.

I'm glad they make you smile! That's the aim :) all this is meant to be fun, as you say, and it always seems a bit sad when fun hardware dresses up as Serious Business with no sense of humour.

Speaking of silly, I did a bit of a silly thing: anyone want a (nearly) Apple logo colour themed set?

I'm going to have four sets of these, same price as a normal batch of 5 AirTalks. They probably won't be repeated, they're a right pain to order and the whole proces gave me a headache.

I'll do a switcheroo for one set instead of the units I'm already on the list for (providing this doesn't cause problems for you),

@cheesestraws I'd love to have the apple-rainbow set. Indeed, since it needs to be shipped to Germany, it's great to have those in such a set anyways.
And ... soooo cool that you made those!

I will take a rainbow set! They will be going to the US, so shipping, tax, and customs be damned. These things look amazing.

If nobody has claimed the 4th rainbow set I would take it, otherwise I would still be interested in several units regardless. Amazing work!

i would love to get a set--either rainbow if still available or [whenever the next run is up]--tell me when&where to send payment!

I can't edit my post, but I may have mis-counted, and likely all the rainbow sets were claimed before I posted. If that's the case, I would be interested in 4 units, shipped to the US, if available :)

Me too…if not too late!

All the coloured ones are spoken for, I'm afraid, before @Skate323k137's post. But there are plenty of plain ones to go around, and if any of the people who want coloured sets drop out I'll let you folks know. There's no shortage of plain ones anyway: if these ones run out I will order another batch of boards and make them up :) .

As I said above, I'm currently waiting for a new envelope of plastic screws and standoffs for the cases, which should (I hope) be arriving tomorrow. Once I've got some more assembled I'll continue going through the thread in the order people have expressed interest and ship them out. If you think I have forgotten you please poke me, but I am keeping a Spreadsheet Of Truth of people who have said they want them.

Very nice, thank you. Also great of you to be handling standoffs etc., as IMHO so many projects like this would benefit from those nice minor details.

I look forward to trying AirTalk with this multiplayer classic I preserved on the Macintosh Garden:

It’s frenzied mayhem with the right number of players, around 3–4.

I’m interested in four units, please … and thank you.

Been looking for something like this for a very long time.
