I can believe two might do something; ten feels like wishful thinking to me. I certainly have machines (not Macs) where you have to reset twice to really clear out important bits of RAM (and that's easily verifiable, not just wishful thinking). Any more than two feels unlikely, and in the realm of "just throw random stuff at it, see what happens".

And yes, @jeremywork — my TAM folio keyboard won't reliably reset NVRAM at all. Why? Who knows. I just plug another keyboard in when I need to...

Ok I get it everyone 10 is excessive, just saying that on some machines they can be a pain in the neck, for instance on two LC machines I’ve had 3-5 actually do the trick. Point taken.

I find it totally believable that 3-5 can make a difference, and by that logic waiting for 10 is still much less effort than disassembly, soldering, cleaning, etc. The lazy side of me usually votes to completely rule out the easy stuff before resorting to actual effort. So long as your expectations are realistic I wouldn’t knock it outright.

So strange... thanks for confirming.

Thanks for all advice, but unfortunately no success :(, still dead :(. I've tried several resets but no difference and still no chime what so ever. It's really weird since it looks very clean, but I guess something might be wrong with the egret after all. @jajan547 I've sent you a PM :).
