Please, could someone tell what is that piece on a Clamshell main board ?

Looks like something can be connected to it , but I can’t remember disconnecting something from there while disassembling …

They are the worst Apple laptops to disassemble IMHO.

Taken appart Three (this one including) last week end, to compare what best parts would go into witch one to have two good looking and working. It’s done, now have a mint Blueberry and a nice Tangerine (waiting for a logo and leaf, but it’s coming).
Remained that one , the parts donor, on my desk disassembled. It has a bad trackpad and a weak screen … Thought I would leave it there and reassemble it yesterday evening. Bad move.
Once you start disassembling these, do all in one session, or you’ll forget where everything goes the next morning, that airport card too :p
Now back at studying the iBook service manual.
Will try to do a « squeleton » one with this one, removing the aluminium sheets inside the screen lid and the palm rest…
