I need help with my IIfx

I recently got a Macintosh IIfx. It wasn't battery damaged thankfully, but nevertheless it does not work. I get a startup chime and the raster screen, where the Mouse-cursor should appear, and eventually the blinking floppy disk, but nothing ever appears :-( It is stuck on that screen forever. When I push the reset button it resets and it gives me a sad mac (with sad-chime) when pushing the interrupt button.

Things I have tried:

Veryfied that the voltages were present and accurate.

I tested every line coming out of the SWIM point to point, that was looking good.

I replaced the SWIM with one from a dead Macintosh LC

I tested the machine with a GGlabs MacSimm.

I was able to verify with the diagnostic mode (https://web.archive.org/web/20190704003154/https://mac68k.info/wiki/display/mac68k/Diagnostic+Mode) that the ram is ok.

I tried pretty much everything I could think of, and I would really like to get this mac back up and running again.

I am thankful for any suggestions on this project.

How are the caps? You should probably replace the few electrolytics on there, unless you got lucky and it doesn't have them. They usually only affect power, but you never know.

Also, could it be a RAM issue?

The caps are all replaced. I tested the ram with the diagnostic mode, and it didn´t give me an error code. The output was something like xxxxxxxx0000*R. The last for digits are the error codes.

Perhaps not that helpful, but I had what sounds like the same issue with my IIfx at one point. In my case I had two graphics cards; I removed one and everything started working. So potentially graphics card issues can result in the symptom you're describing.
