I just released a new HyperCard game

A while ago I set myself a challenge to remake the brilliant Stunt Copter in HyperCard. It's taken longer than I expected (real life tends to have a way of getting in the way of these sort of things!). Anyway I've finally got it ready for download on my website.

It's a bit cut down from the original as it was more about the process than copying the original exactly, but I really enjoyed working out all the different challenges along the way. And I totally want to release more HyperCard stacks soon.

i’ll have to take a look. can i ask how you learned to make stacks? i have a few projects i’d like to complete in hypercard.

I learnt when I was about 12-14 years old back in the early-mid 90s. I learnt by just looking at scripts in stacks... but then I got a manual "The Complete HyperCard 2.2 Handbook" by Danny Goodman - who is the guru of all things HyperCard to be honest! Anything by him is great to use.

HyperCard manuals can be had pretty cheap 2nd hand... and the Internet Archive is full of them too. Good luck and have fun! :D

Just gotten around to giving this a shot, delightfully well implemented - this is a pretty awesome creation.

If you ever wanted to go back and tweak it, maybe it could gain a score system, so that there is intensive to pull off riskier drops.

Yes I wanted to put that in... but more importantly I'd already spent ages making it so I just wanted to release it and get it out there. BUT if I do get some spare time in the future I shall add that system, just like in the original ;)
