Since I cannot burn image disk to mac disk in my pc and since I cannot format mac disk and put files into mac disk into my pc and since I do not have a driver to access the scsi dvd-rom and since I cannot go online in my mac I am left with no choice but go the route of null model. I have a null modem that is working between my apple //gs and pc..i think should work with my mac lc iii. There are no terminal software installed in my mac lc iii. How do I transfer a program from to pc to mac lc III (terminal program) that I can use it as a terminal program to transfer data from pc to mac lciii?

HOW DO I transfer data from pc to my mac lc III via null modem that I am using right now for my apple //gs??

The //gs uses the same serial port as the Macintoshes, so you can simply use the cable you have.  So all you have to do is download the attached file and write it to a floppy disk with a command like dd.  The attached file is an image of a Macintosh disk with ZTerm on it.

Star Gate both on Macintosh and Windows, an 8 mini din to DB9 null modem serial cable and you are on your way

As long as you do not have appropriate software on the LCIII to receive files via the serial port, you might use a PC software to write to a 3.5" floppy disk. If your LCIII accepts and reads DOS formatted disks, it might work out of the box, as long as the Mac data has been appropriately contained into some file format without a resource fork. If your Mac does not read DOS formatted disks, look for a software that permits your PC to format and write Mac-like disks, for example MacDisk. Still the same applies as before: the Mac files must be contained or encoded in some kind of an archive file to save the resource fork data. Also consider to visit Chris Adam's webpage on connecting your Mac to a PC using the serial port. After you managed file transfer to get the necessary software onto your LCIII, get your copy of StarGate, as recommended above.

I have used HFVExplorer and TransMac for writing to CD and floppy (via USB floppy drive) from windows 10, have had no problems reading the windows 10 written floppy disks in the LC so far.

I have issue with star gate http://www.ccadams.org/se/serial.html

When I downloaded the windows version and attempted to run the setup it fails to run in Windows 10. I even went under compatibility and selected windows 95 and still fails regardless. The program is too old to run even the setup to extract it in my windows 10.

What advice do you have? Can I use star gate in windows side and zterm in the mac side?

Star Gate doesn't work on Windows 10, you must have at least 7
