How to manage a graphite Airport basestation?

I am trying to get a PowerBook 2400c and a Newton onto my home wifi network. I figured I would setup this old graphite base station and connected it to my home wired network. I know how to factory reset it but not sure of what software is needed to manage it. I am assuming and old version of the Airport Utility. The latest version certainly doesn’t work.

Does anyone know what version of Mac OS and Airport Utility I need to set this thing set up?

PS If you are wondering what "TAC FoP" means. This is from the Apple Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) which was basically Apple Reseller technical support back in the 90's and 00'. And was a First of Product (FoP) meaning the first of the shipping product (not prototype) to customers.

I have kept a copy of Airport utility 5.6.1, which I know will work with some of the older Airports but I don't know whether it would work with yours or not. It won't launch under Ventura and I don't know how far back you need to go to have it run but it seems like I've run it in the past two years or so.
Not too much help I'm afraid. Worth a try though.

Yea. Mac OS 9.04. I have managed to get a Mac Mini running 10.2.7 to see it with the Airport Admin Utility. I still can’t get the 2400c with a Farallon Etherwave to work. It sees the network but crashes when trying to connect. I have been through the WEP password to HEX issues as well but still no luck. About to try a Lucent WaveLAN card. If I can’t get that working then I am out on this one.

Yeah. I have vague memories of requiring one of those tools to manage an AirPort Extreme base station on OS 9 too

I believe I have a copy of the AirPort utilities for OS 9 if you want to give that a go.
