Got my HDD in!

I received my 120GB 5400RPM Laptop hard drive (w/ 8MB Cache) for my iBook!

It's VERY nice, and it only cost me $76USD total!

I say it's a VERY nice deal. I got it on NewEgg.com at this Linky!

It was pretty nice, since at that price, all i found was between 60-100GB 4200RPM drives! this was the only drive they had, and once in my iBook, I have noticed a 3-fold increase in speed.

Wow! A 120 gig lappy drive for $80? That's a sweet deal! Newegg tends to have some great stuff from time to time.

Nice! How's the battery life been, I'd presume it's a bit lower with the faster drive?

Haven't tested the battery life yet. but my Battery is like only 49% life left (i mean for total charges :-/ )

I will try it now *pulls cord* and see how much i get

I will do it at FULL power sucking.

I think I am actually getting BETTER battery life with this hard drive.

it takes 5 Watts for this one (1amp @ 5v) and I think the other one took about 3amps at 5volts (15Watts) so, my battery life has gone UP significantly!

By now, my battery would be dead with the other hard drive. right now, I am sitting at 59% w/ 1:09 hours left 8-o
