GEMDOS on the Lisa can be built again!

No, and that's probably the issue. I was using the one I snagged from compu85's website in the Useful Apple Lisa Files zip. I'll try again with the ones in this thread!

Oh, right. No idea what disc image that is or where it came from! I've posted several here and there's also @gilles's original one which packaged the precompiled binaries that DRI provided (and which inspired me to attack this project at all). If you use the ones I posted above you should end up with a working ProFile driver and the utilities necessary to install GEMDOS on it. Let me know how it goes!

Are the .dc disk images just disk copy 4.2 images? I've been trying to get them working with my FloppyEmu and it does not seem to like them. I tried copying them to my MDD running 9.2.2 and using DiskCopy 6 to open them and they fail to even open the disk images. I tried to convert them to the .dsk format but when I try to boot from them they do not appear to work. FloppyEmu will allow me to select the .dsk, but appears to crash or otherwise reject the disk image when the Lisa tries to read from it.

I also attempted to use the ProFile disk image with my Cameo/Aphid and it also refuses to boot from the hard drive when that .image file is selected. Would love to try this out, but as someone who's never done anything with early Ataris, or Lisas for that matter, I'm at a disadvantage. Is my only option physical floppies created using DiskCopy 4.2 on an older Mac. I do have some Macs that might work, but it feels like if we can provide a solution that uses FloppyEmu, many of people will benefit as it provides an option for people without working 400/800k floppy disks / drives.

All I did was copy them over to my floppy emu's SD card exactly as they were downloaded, and opened them up while in Lisa disk mode. I have a model C. It worked fine for me. I presumed .dc meant .dc42.

Interesting. I tried in both the original .dc format as well as using BMOW's utility to convert to .dsk. I have a model C as well and have used it for other Lisa disk images that came on the BMOW SD card.

Update, I tried again with the .dc files and realized that the issue was that it appears the file when I copied it was non-contiguous. Nothing to do with the image file, just the weird file system limitation of FloppyEmu. I wiped the SD and recopied everything and it seems to be working. Booting now so we'll see.
