Hello! Back with more G4 recovery projects. So I have a G4 with AGP that includes the extra little socket for an ADC card and has a Geforce 4MX card sitting in it now from Apple. It is a dual 500 but I recall putting in a card from a newer machine (probably quicksilver?) at some point in the early 2000's. Anyway, this machine will only show 640x480 on my only remaining VGA monitor. I know the screen can do more as my 7100 can do 1024x768 just fine on the display. I am running 9.2.2 on the G4. Do I need to install drivers or something? Was this card only for OS X? I last was running 10.3 on the machine when it went into storage but I am much more interested in getting OS 9 on this thing to act as a bridge to a lot of my older macs like my Plus (I have one of those circuit talk cards!!!!!)

ok reporting back with an answer for future generations. The 9.2.1 disc I used didn't have drivers for the last few cards released with OS 9 support and finding the nVidia driver installer online now seems really hard. Luckily the drivers are in this 9.2.2 install image: http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php?topic=1859.0

Extracting those and putting them in extensions fixed my problem!
