I still use my old (68k) Mac for work, mainly because it has some handy software that I paid hundreds for a couple of decades ago, and I'm too cheap to update to newer versions. Besides, I really like my old Mac - the aesthetic, the way it feels.
It's a pain to have to switch from 68k land to Intel OS X world just to check my email though, I'd like to be able to fetch my iCloud and Gmail mail, strip the SSL, and make it available via MAPI or POP to my old Mac. That way I could use Eudora or Mulberry, and I wouldn't have to interrupt my workflow.
Obviously, the solution would also need to take my replies, wrap them up in SSL, and send them on their way - and if it could also handle junk and convert from formatted mail to plain text, I'd be happy as a pig.
I have a Mac Mini Server (on El Capitan) which would be perfect for the task since it's running all the time. Question is, does anyone have any clever ideas for how to solve this problem?
