Data Desk is a tool for Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA). First released in 1986, it is one of the oldest Macintosh programs still actively developed and sold. It is now cross platform with support for OS X and Windows.

I've received permission to compile a version for Macintosh 680x0 and make it freeware. Data Desk for Macintosh 680x0 is available from my Gryphel Project web site.

Interesting software, the user interface is more Atari like and it is hard to use on Mac Plus screen.

Help gives me unknown error.

Oh, found the Interface scale to Classic, now it is OK! :)

Oops, thanks for pointing that out. It is supposed to go to a web page, but that isn't implemented in this port, and wouldn't work in Mini vMac anyway. I'll remove that button from the About dialog, and other references. (It may be better not to send users of this freeware version to Data Descriptions' server.)

To be cross platform, Data Desk uses it's own user interface inside of its window on all platforms. The dialogs, menus, and sub windows are very Mac like, but not native.

I've updated Data Desk for Macintosh 680x0. I've removed all references to the help pages, and the Web Search Query command, which also won't work in Mini vMac. I also made the default Interface Scale smaller, so as to work better on Mini vMac's default screen size.
