Can a Kanga run the greatest game of all time? Sort of

I managed to get a Demo copy of the Mac version of the greatest game of all time, Deus Ex.  I wanted to see if my Kanga would run it. Virtual memory is required due to the application thinking it needs more than the Kanga can support (this is odd since the PC version runs okay with just 64MB RAM). It runs...sort of. I was pleasantly surprised that it was able to even start up the program, and it ran with a frame rate that I wouldn't exactly call playable. However, the Demo is known to be very poorly optimized and I recall it running badly on my then-new PC when DX game out. Hopefully I'll find a CD copy of the full game for Mac soon and see if it runs any better. Just thought I'd share with everyone else who also appreciates these older Macs.

That's great - I bet the Deus Ex music sounded great off the Kanga speakers!  Next up you must try Unreal - it might run fine at low resolution.

Music and sound effects sounded great! Kanga’s speakers are pretty good even by modern standards. I was really just surprised that it ran at all. Thanks for the tip about Unreal - I’ll have to give that one a try next.
