Camera and macam in Powermac G4 MDD OSX 10.4.11

Hi,
I have installed macam but I just see a back screen in the macam player (Even after pressing the play button) It has picked up my PS3 EYE and showing a good frame rate - any ideas?
I also have a logitech BD525 - is it possible to get this working?

I did something like this many years ago with my G3 blue&white and a few old PC USB webcams I had… but I don’t recall the specifics. From what I remember, it worked just fine with just the Macam software and the webcams I tried. I believe there was a button (or maybe a menu option) to view from the camera, and another to start/stop capturing it to a video file.

I vaguely remember capturing a very short video to be sure each camera worked and could capture the video and audio properly. I never did any actual video calling with it, though, but the video file looked ok to me, considering the webcam only did like 640x480 at best.

Did you try plugging the camera in before you boot the computer, and before you open the Macam software? Does the webcam work with another machine, like a Windows PC?

If it worked on my G3 with my webcams, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work on a G4 for you, but short of sitting back down with it personally, I’m not sure I can be much more helpful than that.
 
No luck - i have seen some apple cameras on ebay for about £15 so might give one of those a try, I will also try booting into OS9 and see if my camera will work in that :0)
