BMOW Floppy EMU question

Have any of you floppy emu owners purchased the acrylic kit? I am having trouble with the shafts of the acrylic buttons sliding off of the buttons on the PCB forcing me to open it up, realign etc only to have it happen all over again. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it sound like I did something wrong in assembly? I've considered taking a dremel to make the bottom of those shafts convex to fit over the buttons but haven't yet.

Huh. I have both a Rev B and Rev C, and have not had this issue.

My only pet peeve with assembling these cases is having to peel the paper off everything. Other than that they have been solid.

I've got the older model--not sure which revision--but haven't had a problem.

Probably be twice the price if he had to peel the paper off everything before shipping.

I have that problem all the time, especially with my Rev A. Drives me nuts, but I can usually reset them without opening up the case. I replaced one of the buttons with a wooden dowel whittled down to fit. That doesn't slip off anymore.

Okay so it's not just me? yeah drives me bonkers, I emailed Steve C. to see if he had any alternatives. I assumed I was doing something wrong, but the flat bottoms of the buttons don't sit well on top of the buttons of the actual device.

Lol I'm sure 😆

There is a guide piece that goes in during install right? It's been a minute but mine get tossed around all the time and I haven't had the issue

I purchased the acrylic kit and it’s fiddly to assemble but not terrible.
