BlueSCSIS DB25 question for Mac SE

Hello! I have a Mac SE that runs an desktop BlueSCSI 1.1a from the internal HD connection. I have it wired with the LED and everything. This works fine. I recently assembled a BlueSCSI 1.1a DB25. I can't seem to get this one to work from the external port on the SE at the same time as the internal BlueSCSI. I can have one or the other. Both work until I try to run them together on the SE. When I try to run them both, I get the floppy disk with a question mark. Any idea what's going on? I tried changing the boot order on the HD images and that didn't help. If I disconnect the internal bluescsi, it works. I also got the DB25 to work on another computer that is just boots from a standard HD. Any ideas? I suspect that there is some sort of SCSI chain problem that I'm not understanding... :(

How are the images on the two units configured? The SE has a single SCSI bus, so you can’t have any SCSI ID conflicts - if you have an ID 0 on the internal BlueSCSI, you can’t have an ID 0 on the external one.

I had ID 6 on the internal. Tried ID 6 and ID 5 on the DB25 and got the floppy with question mark for both. So HD60_512 blah blah.hda

A single image on both is a good place to start, so ID 6 on internal and ID 5 on external sounds good. Both should have their termination enabled.

You said they both work independently - have you tried them independently on the SE, or on another machine?

I tried both independently on other machines and they work fine. Just not together it seems. Is there something I need to do to enable termination other than have the jumpers on them?

No, having the jumpers installed is all you should need.

Have you tried them together on another machine?

Have you tried the internal one by itself on the SE? Have you tried the external one by itself on the SE?
