Ya maybe you could turn SFTP off on the Macbook but TBH I think the way you got it set up is better. Were I to do the same I could just push files onto the SE over wifi from the comfort of my lounge chair. As it is now I prep everything in /pub on the laptop, turn the FTP Share on, then make my way to the workshop where I can log in via the SE. Eventually I'm gonna switch it up and have the SE as the server. Been reading about Net Presenz and it seems pretty cool can host gopher and html too.
Right now I'm stuck on a weird problem. I tried installing a newer version of turbo gopher and it crashed while asking me to insert the install disk. Just froze up. I had no other choice but to power it down and now whenever I select shutdown it asks me to insert my hard drive with the same looking prompt it crashed on. Crazy! Even if I select restart it will not restart, just says "Insert disk MacHD". Also the MacHD icon remains visible on my desktop so .. ya that's weird. My plan is to poke around using ResEdit and see if I notice anything unusual. And if I fail there I'll start another thread here and see if anybody else can help.
