Can‘t even find a datasheet for that one.

The insides look a lot like the transceiver I used for reference. Mine does not have a 20Mhz crystal, not sure what that’s for.
I've been playing around with the idea of making a similar daughterboard, but with an OpenWRT router integrated, rather than the Vonets.

I tried to track down the datasheet for what @joethezombie posted, though it says UM9095L I think it's the same as DM9095L; looks like UMC and Davicom are somehow related. The DM9095 datasheet says the oscillator is used for "internal chip timing"

There's also the T7220 that is used in my Maccon - is your daughterboard a clone of the Maccon daughterboard with ethernet, or just of a  twisted pair transceiver device?

I was going to just clone the MacCon daughterboard but couldn't find even a single one of the transceivers used on mine anywhere.

Kept looking around for AUI-TP receiver ICs and found a small lot of the chip I am using now for sale. I just copied the example circuit from the datasheet more or less.

Pinouts between the DM9095 and the AM79C98 are different, so it is not a drop in replacement.

Got linkage to the OpenWRT thing you want to use? Might be easy to implement both VONETs and yours on a single daughterboard if they are both mPCIe-form factor devices.

Unfortunately it's not mini-PCIe. I am working on either the HLK-RM04 v2, which has 8MB flash/32MB RAM, or the HLK-7688A (or HLK-7628N, they are the same except for 75628N has two antennae), which has 32MB flash/128MB RAM. 

It's unclear whether the HLK-7688/28 is compatible with new OpenWRT releases. I'm hoping it is, as it is much more powerful, and also has I2S, SPI pins. I ordered this evaluation board a week ago to see if OpenWRT works on it. Unfortunately, they haven't shipped it - I think the current situation in China may be responsible for the delay.

I want to chime in on the OpenWRT/Vonets discussion- I have found that the Vonets is quite finnicky. A solution that incorporates a device running OpenWRT will be way more functional. Heck- I believe that you can even install it on a Raspberry Pi.

OpenWRT is awesome. Among other things I believe the Vonets device doesn’t support 5GHz WiFi at all, does it?

@Bolle Do you have schematics for the Maccon?  I have one that doesn't work, and doesn't show up in TattleTech.  I was wondering if you had the schematics so I could trace out the board.  Also, is there a DeclROM on the card?

Man  I have really missed out this year This is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time! wondering if they are still available or how much they are? also what can each of those slots handle? And can that db port be removed to make room for a video port? like some models of the asante ethernet that have a daughter board that can be unplugged in half so you can put a video port there also and just use the rj45 port.

I had my se30 out again recently and might get another on craigslist to restore
