Anybody have an early MacsBug?

Well... the topic kinda' says it all... I'm looking for an early version of MacsBug that will be a bit smaller than what I've got now (which is version 6.5.3)... while it does work on a 2MB machine; it's kinda' a tight fit.

So... I'm hoping perhaps one of you might either have that (perhaps on an old Developer CD) or know where I can find such a thing online? (my google-fu has failed me, sadly...)

:)

Google didnt exist when alot of this around. Sure google does a good job spidering the web, but your best bet might be trying older search engines. like dogpile, altavista, etc if they still exist.

What version of System? MacsBug I've found is a bit particular with what System it will work with-- I have a pretty tiny MacsBug 5 but System 6 won't touch anything less than MacsBug 6. MacsBug 6.2.2(?) is small enough that it works on my 1MB Plus.

You should definitely upload version 5 to the Mac garden, since it can't really be found anywhere.

BTW, I remember seeing MacsBug on a very old mac 128k disk. I'll double check.

I just installed the MacsBug 6.2.2 from macgui on system 6.0.5 yesterday, and it works fine.

I would like to second the request to upload any older versions of macsbug to the macintosh garden. I spent quite a bit of time searching for versions < 6.2.2 and couldn't find any.

I just noticed yesterday that the built-in ROM drive on the Classic includes MacsBug 5.3 (about 26k I think).
