ANS 500/700 Raid Card Cables

Anyone happen to know where one could obtain the proper cables for the ANS 500/700 SCSI raid card. It appears to be a 68 pin scsi ultra connection. But the connector on the main logic board appears to be a small 68 pin female centronics type. Is this even available? The connector on the Mylex Raid card is a standard 68 pin female.

Hey gang no ideas on this cable?? I also am trying to figure out the proper RAM module for the RAID card. Specs say a standard 72 pin SIMM up to 32MB. I’ve tried one that’s EDO.. won’t work.. so what do I need?? Parity or non parity???

The First photo is the original that works.. the second is the 32MB EDO.. so I’m assuming I need a non EDO??

This is the end piece I need going to a 68 pin male. Do these cables exist??

So these are the cables that are needed if you add a Mylex Raid Card to the ANS… I’m having trouble finding them. I guess it’s a SCA68 female to HD68 Male. Here’s what they look like

Jajan547, yup I ordered those.. a little worried as they say “twisted pairs” in the description. I’ll see if they in fact work.. I’ll let everyone know..

Well it worked!!! I have a DAC960 PCI Raid card working flawlessly inside an ANS 500! So if anyone tries to do this you need to get the proper DAC960 board with 2 channels and should include the battery board (which I have disabled through the utility). There are many DAC960 versions but you need the correct version. Once you get a hold of the right board you need to get a new firmware EEPROM chip and install it. The actual most difficult part of this process was finding the proper 68 pin internal scsi ribbon cables.

Hey do you need the User Manual, RAID card info, or AIX info?

That would be awesome! Yes I can burn a copy and ship them back happily if that’s ok?
