(almost) weekly Apple Conquest video series

Hi!

Unfortunately school took away the free time I had during the summer, but now I'm (almost) back, thanks to the Christmas holidays!

I thought it would have been interesting to share my latest find in a video!

This past Sunday, I picked up 3 PowerMac G4s (they all have problems) and a TiBook Mercury that showed non signs of life, removed the bottom cover and unplugged the battery under the optical drive.

Now it turns on, but it seems like it has a defective Video/logic board, it installs Tiger fine, than it crashes at the blue screen, same for OS9 (yes, I used the tuned 9.2.2 that came with the machine), it only boots without extensions (shift key pressed at boot).

A working replacement board is crazy expensive (almost 60€), but it is very easy to find Tis with snapped hinges and/or dead displays very cheaply.

Bare in mind, I live in Italy: everything that has an apple on it sells for twice (or even more) of it's real value
