I've got a Core 2 Duo running 10.6.8 I'm trying to get connected to my stereo. I was hoping to be able to use Airplay (heck, or Spotify Connect) from a phone or desktop to choose the Mac mini as the output, but I'm having trouble.
I thought Rogue Amoeba's Airfoil Speakers would do the trick but when I run either v3 or v4 on the Mac mini I don't see it as an option to send music to from my phone or another machine. I've also come across Shairport Sync, which is available on MacPorts but I haven't had any success with that either.
Has anyone gotten airplay working on an old 10.6 system?
