A/UX resource going away

Hi guys,

I'm not sure where to post this, but it's A/UX-related, so the software-forum seems appropriate. After ten years, I have decided to shut down http://www.aux-penelope.com. The site will be up for at least another few weeks, so feel free to grab a mirror if you find it useful. I will also be liquidating all of my 68K Mac equipment, and remaining A/UX software. I should have a posting in the "trading post" forum later today. :)

Thanks

Aw, man - Penelope was awesome. I'll have to get a mirror going next week. Thank you for all your work in keeping it going over the years!

Yeah, I have to agree, penelope was the site for A/UX for a decade now. I'm going to hate updating the FAQ with another "defunct" listing. I'm out of any historical computing now, too, though, so it doesn't come as too much of a shock.

Yeah, to be honest, I kinda burned out on this hobby. Old computers are fun at first, but they end up being a lot of work. The site is coming up for renewal anyways, so I figured it was time.

I've already had a few folks offer to host mirrors, so it's not completely going away.

Thanks guys

Scott,

Thanks for the great resource. I've been to your site countless times, and I'm rather sad to see it go. I've also mirrored it here. for anyone to use. If you would like to grab a copy from there, feel welcome to it; I've got bandwidth to spare.

It is now official... I've contacted my hosting provider, and made the arrangements. On Feb 11, 2014 Penny will be retired.
