2x compact.........Performa 200 and Mac Classic

I went to work (volunteer) at the recyclers today, and while I was walking around the facility these 2 caught my eye. I am the only person there who works on macs, so for the most part if I see something I want all I just have to ask, and they'll give it to me (I have gotten a Mac IIsi, Performa 6116CD,almost new Airport extreme, dead macbook battery, iMac G3 snow, iMac G3 ruby and Tibook this way). I tested the macs, and both seem dead, but I know very little about fixing compacts, so I'll have to try to work on them after school ends. I'll try to describe the problems in greater detail soon, but I think the Performa has SimasiMac (vertical, kinda checkered), and the Classic doesn't do anything other than make fan noises, but I am still very happy with them, especially considering the rarity of the Performa 200.

:) :) :)

Well, on further testing and disasembly, the Performa WORKS ;D ;D ;D (most of the time :-/ ) and the Classic has the thing that says "danger high voltage" on the back of the yoke removed (maybe broken off :?: ), and when I put it back on there were a lot of sparks inside the tube, so I unplugged the Classic and took it off again.I think the Performa has a dead HDD (boots to "?" floppy ), and the one from the Classic only has System 6.0.7 on it, so now I just need boot disks for the Performa 200 (classic 2). I tried to make floppies from the System 7 images from Apple, but I could not figure it out (I used a PB 3400 under os 9) any help on this end would be greatly appreciated, I have never done this before.

I was also wondering it there is a video out for the Classic, I think it works but the tube is broken (as mentioned above).

EDIT: just tested the Classic again and the tube sparked, made screeching noises, and the BROKE (the neck broke off the front display)

DiskCopy (version 6.x.x of which should be another free download) is needed to make 'yer actual floppies. You can most easily make them from the "Make Floppy" item in the menu (Utilities?), using un-mounted disk image files. So don't double click the disk image files in order to bring them up onto the desktop; use the menu command instead and then navigate to the disk image to select it in the relevant directory (basically, that just means in the folder that you downloaded from Apple).

There is a manual available somewhere for the DiskCopy utility, but you don't really need it, as once you get it first time, you can't really go too far wrong.
