Thank you for your patience as we manage what has been, as of this writing, two spammers.

If you see any more, please hit the report button. The forum software emails all admins and mods and we can flag the person as spammer and hide or mass-delete their posts, and then resolve all the reports pretty quickly.

I want to take this moment to remind everybody that before our migration to invision's software, the forum was in an unmaintainable state and we were using an old release of phpBB3 which was exceedingly creaky under the hood, and in order to manage the spam problem, I turned off automatic registrations entirely, and each person who wanted to register needed to email admin@68kmla.org to register, at which point I would have to go check the email and sit down and manage the registrations, which happened "whenever" because I was working full time and a full time student.

Best,

Cory W.

For reference, the anti-spam functions of Invision work really well. Heres the last month of anti-spam statistics in graph form:

This is the first incident of spam that has gotten through in over a year -- I'd say we're doing pretty good.

Thanks for the reports,
