Hm, I wonder if this would be possible using the python Hermes II capabilities today. Could be cool. That said, for me, the big benefit to running Hermes II at all is playing the native games that can't be played on a typical x86 BBS :)
Very cool. I think I may give this a whirl myself.
Is there a list of outstanding bugs anywhere?
Also, I wonder what it'd take to re-enable 3.1.1 doorgame support :) That would be super cool. I suppose digging through the changelog would reveal some things but it would likely take a bit of...
FYI I tried doing this exact thing and my Quicksilver had boot problems. I had DVI&USB -> KVM -> ADC convertor -> Studio display/kbd/mouse
Every time I'd boot the computer, it would just die. Very bizarre.
Check out my older thread...
Well now this is interesting! Bummer about it not working in Basilisk, that runs significantly faster for me.
Question - is the device name in your filesystem static? I.e., can it be set and forget, surviving reboots?
This is...frankly amazing. ;)
I just noticed this on my own local testing instance :P
I'm curious why so many of the externals/addons simply don't work at all - they either crash the BBS or the OS entirely. Presumably at some point they worked, so it's puzzling.
3.1.1 does seem like the ideal version if running doors is...
Thanks for your reply :) I never ran Leopard on that partition - I installed OS9 on a blank HDD and have an empty partition for Sorbet Leopard.
What's CCC?
Hey friends, I have a 2002 Quicksilver G4 with OS9. I have a separate partition I'd like to install Sorbet Leopard into. However, no matter what I've tried, I can't seem to boot into Sorbet Leopard. I even took the HD out, mounted it on my G5, and followed the instructions to copy over the...
My 6100 with BlueSCSI V2 works well! Though I have a Sonnet CPU upgrade as well as a PDS VRAM card, and I also feel that cooling is an issue like others here have mentioned.
