About a minute at 600, slightly faster at 300. Actual scan time probably 15 seconds. I didn’t time it but seemed about a minute to place, click through the dialogs and scan it in. Takes longer for the Mac to manipulate the image if you’re doing any editing. Saving such a large file takes about...
As with many of the Apple devices I’ve acquired over the past year or so, I wasn’t even aware Apple made or had branded-scanners manufactured.
Originally I had the VisionPort scanner due to the intent being a completely portable retro mobile office (just for fun, obviously ;-)). However, I...
Generally when working with music software configurations having a ton of settings that can be altered, it can be hard to keep track of.
The idea hit me the other night -- to use the QuickTake 200 and my thermal printer to quickly snap and print layout information specific to a song I'm working...
Find a replacement. Unless you’re talking about the 200, in which case I think there’s a fuse in them that can be replaced (soldered IIRC) but I haven’t had to do that with mine yet. Both cameras are insanely difficult to reassemble.
This is an older image of a diner I took earlier this year but wanted to experiment with AI post processing to see what a difference it could make and here is the result:

Processed Graffiti shot turns out really nice
I'm beginning to wonder if I can use my Kanga for some iteration of Cubase in my MIDI setup so that I can record some of my music instead of forking out $240ish on a MiST FPGA setup to emulate an Atari ST instead.
Does anyone here have any experience specifically with the MOTU Time Piece 1 or 2...
After all this time owning and using these, I've never taken one in low quality mode (32 pictures on the 150) until today... and surprisingly, it's not that bad.
Of course that’s not possible but with modern manipulation of drawings from the MessagePad, anything is! :D
I’ve been experimenting a lot lately and wanted to share here specifically in case it’s missed elsewhere since I think it’s really fun and encourage others to try it as well.
I use...
Sharing 'quickly' my further down the rabbit hole findings here. While you can't see the full panoramic or QTVR shots, you can see the thumbnails that were created using a QT200 by a David Mantripp back in 1997. He sold it shortly after to get a CS900? as he was definitely fully involved with...
Quick question to those with 150s, does 32 picture mode result in 320x240 pictures or just slightly less definition 640x480 pictures? I took two pictures of the same thing and was expecting the second one to be 320x240 but it’s the same size just less quality/more compression.
I thought they...
