I want to understand - Macintosh Portable error code

Would bet there is at least one bad trace under one of the ram chips. I fixed such an issue with bodge wires on one of my boards and as far as I remember the error code was comparable. Try to find the broken trace with a continuity tester.

    Outbound laptop internal docking cable

To my experience you need the right harddisk. I own an original 40MB one, the later 40MB already using to today used 2,5" connector and the one from the ebay offer. All are PRAIRIETEK drives. The both 40MB drives share the same drive geometry. The 20MB two heads instead of four. I got them...

    Outbound laptop internal docking cable

For all searching a harddisk https://www.ebay.com/itm/276054451002 might be an option. Even if it is only 20MB I know with adapters and/or maybe custom made cable it can be used inside a outbound laptop. But you would have to be able to boot your outbound without harddisk. If you can not boot...

    Outbound laptop internal docking cable

As also the floppy was discussed inside this thread. It is possible to use gotek drive (at least as internal drive) and boot the Outbound laptop. Slow but it works. Have not checked if it might be possible to optimize something. With the right cable also a standard floppy is working. As far as I...

    Outbound 125

Please expect the pinout is the standard 3.5" drive pinout + power connector even if it is a 2.5" drive. Not sure if they are checking drive manufacturer or capacity or what else. I was not able to get a IDE to CF or SD adapter working. Only other drive beside the original one (mine is broken...

    Newly acquired Mac Portable (M5120)

You could use a blueSCSI: https://scsi.blue/ Seems like the europan seller One Geek Army has some in stock. I have used a blueSCSI inside one of my portables but I have been using the 50 pin internal version with an adapter. Never tested DB25. I might can test on the Weekend. Another option you...

    Newly acquired Mac Portable (M5120)

Just be happy you were able to buy this Portable for 100€. Even if you should not be able to get it working you probably could sell it for more if you would like. As far as I can see the ebay ram card would not fit into M5120, should be for the M5126. So now you can relax and wait until your...

    Macintosh Portable Sad Mac

Maybe you should first buzz out the ram. I was able to identify broken traces located under one of the ram chips with a multimeter. Could be fixed with three wires. If I remember right more or less the pins from one chip should be connected to the same pins on the other chip. Maybe there was...

can confirm bluescsi can be used in Powerbook 100. Even if this might not be the perfect solution I took the gerber files from an older thread to build the needed adapter.

Arduino SCSI device - Work in Progress

Should have taken a closer look into the wiki :-) I was not able to flash the CH32F103C8T6 based bluepill from within the arduino ide. But I was able to flash the bin file using STM32 ST-LINK Utility on my Windows 10 laptop. And this device is working too. No idea if there might be any...

Arduino SCSI device - Work in Progress

First of all, thank you very much @erichelgeson! At the end of last year I ordered some PCBs from China and the other needed stuff from mouser and other suppliers. Seems to be very hard to receive genuine bluepills. Even the supplier that used to send genuine bluepills send me boards with...
