A LC475 mainboard with 25MHz 68040 (not LC), 32MB RAM, 1MB VRAM. Listed as fully working from a seller I have bought from before (and who has done an exchange for me who I wasn't happy with something that arrived). I'll need to find a power supply but the floppy and hard drive are dead space...
Thought I would mention this here since it can be hard to find decent fans in this size. The "Gelid" available on Amazon for example, is not a good fan - it's closer to 16mm thick than 15 and is expensive! But I found this fan available on many of the large distributors: Sunon...
Before the loss of data there was a post about this. I had started making a replacement power supply for my SE/30, because I’m planning on using a FPGA to drive a LCD - no more need for the CRT, or flyback, etc.
The h-sync, v-sync and pixel data come out to the fpga as does signal from a rotary...
I have a big old external SCSI enclosure with 16-bit 68-pin connectors on it. From what I read the SCSI standard is supposed to interoperate and if the physical connection can be made that should operate as an 8-bit SCSI peripheral also. So if I was to find a Mac 25-pin M to 68-pin SCSI M cable...
I've been powering a SE/30 board from a power supply that has 5V, 12V and -12V. I simply left it disconnected and no issues.
So far on the schematics the only place I can see it used is Vee on UE12, a 26LS30 line driver. Serial communications. Is that the only place it is used?
I'm looking at Inside Macintosh vol VI.
"When a multiscreen system starts up, one of the screens is determined to be the startup screen, the screen on which the "happy Macintosh" appears."
Is the Micron Xceed the "startup screen" when no external monitor is connected? Does anyone know or can...
I just received 8 x 16M SIMMS and installed them in the SE/30. This image shows the system report:
Is it the case that 7.5.3 only supports a small amount of RAM and will mark all the rest as used?
Why does Apple state that the SE/30 supports 512 x 382 video? https://support.apple.com/kb/sp195?locale=de_DE
(underneath it does say that the number of lines on the physical screen is 342) Every other source (and the Mac itself) says that the resolution is 512 x 342 with no mention of 384...
I have one of these massive blueberry monitors and will shortly be able to plug it in to a USB-equipped System 9.2.2 machine, so I'm looking for the software. Macintosh Garden doesn't seem to have it. If you are not familiar there is just a brightness adjust on the monitor itself, every other...
I'm curious about how these worked! Since I am probably never going to see on in real life I was hoping to find more information. There's a reference to a homemade grayscale adapter (Gamba's archived page) but I can't find much information on it... how can a board in the PDS slot override the...
Hi everyone - first post.
I have looked on eBay for the SE/30 for ages but never before been quick enough or not been outbid. Well I finally got one. It's not perfect but I think it's. good buy!
First, the box. Shipping was from Western Australia to me in Victoria, it travelled about 3500km in...
