Performa 600 w/Daystar Turbo 040 missing option to Disable Memory Test

I have a Performa 600 with a DayStar Turbo 040 accelerator. The option to Disable Memory Test is missing in Advanced Features in the QuadControl Control Panel. I have tested the accelerator in a IIci and the did not have that issue. Is this expected behavior in a Performa 600? I have attached a...

LC III & LC 520/550 PDS slot compatibility

Here are the benchmark results for Norton Utilities SI v3.5.3. It definitely shows the FPU is running faster than the 33MHz I originally thought.

LC III & LC 520/550 PDS slot compatibility

I have tried all the above and I am satisfied the the FPU is running @50MHz after all the testing and thankful for everyone's input here. I am certainly not going to loose any sleep over it:) Thanks!

LC III & LC 520/550 PDS slot compatibility

Here is a comparison between the LC III with the Interware Booster and the stock configuration with a FPU using SpeedOMeter v3.23. This is running on System 7.1 w/Update 3.0 & QuickSANE v2.2

LC III & LC 520/550 PDS slot compatibility

Using PowerDemo from Daystar shows the 68030 @50MHz and the 68882 @33MHz. The SpeedOMeter 3.23 results confirm the FPU score is indeed running at 33MHz. The Performance Test result is 35 whereas a 50MHz 68882 should be around 50. I did not expect the FPU to run at 33MHz with this accelerator...

LC III & LC 520/550 PDS slot compatibility

I got the Interware Booster 30-LC52550F and it works with my 25MHz LC III. The interesting thing is the 68882 is only clocked to 33MHz and not 50MHz. This seems to be the case on some accelerators. My MicroMac Thunder LC is 33MHz for the 68030, but only 16MHz for the 68882 and my MicroMac Diimo...

LC III & LC 520/550 PDS slot compatibility

It should have the exact same performance as 33MHz LC III/Performa 460. The only difference is the clock speed and the fact it has a 33MHz 68030 on the motherboard.

LC III & LC 520/550 PDS slot compatibility

My LC III is running at 33Mhz, but I have access to 25MHz model I gave to a friend and we can just do a swap of the motherboards. It should all be good. Thanks for the info!

LC III & LC 520/550 PDS slot compatibility

Is the PDS slot in a LC III electrically compatible with the PDS slot in a LC 520/550? I am look at getting an accelerator for my LC III and it is listed for a LC 520/LC 550. Thanks!

Macintosh II supporting more than 8MB of RAM issues

If you look at the listing on Tindie the last batch was sold Jan 19th 2023. I just wonder if anymore of these are going to be made given the length of time since they were last sold. I got lucky and there was a listing for 2 sets of 4x4MB PAL SIMMs on eBay that are tested with 30 day returns. I...
