well, i realized that after about spending an hour trying to find/make an antenna. I guess the only reason the new tv works with an antenna is because it is digital.
considering i have an "extra" CC, i tried this, but instead of resetting the screen resolution, it kind of just bunched it up in...
well, It Works! ;D I let the logicboard sit outside of the computer for about a week, and now it works. the computer is giving me a question mark floppy though. any suggestions of which OS i should use? also, how the heck do i use the CD drive? (i think it is caddy load)
On a recent trip to the recycling center, I found a Mac TV. When I brought it home, it would not turn on. I though the power supply may have died, so I decided to do a Takky mod to one of my CCs using the logicboard from the Mac TV. Well, as it turns out the power supply of the Mac TV is fine...
the electrical wires can be 8" long? I heard that if it was that far away the computer would become unstable.
I'll take a look at the sawtooth in the next couple days and let you know.
Well, I have been waiting a few years to get a G4 Cube, and now I have 2. Well... middle of last week I was looking around on craigslist when I saw a listing that said "ASUS netbook and apple cube-$50" so I clicked on it, wondering how much the cube would be (most of the time I see idiots who...
HaHa, I'm glad to see that somebody here got that lot. I'd decided that morning to buy it in the evening if nobody else had, but I guess you beat me  . Nice score, but I agree about the hard drives.
fyi, xpostfacto will not work w/ leopard (last i heard). i used a open firmware "hack" to make it think it had a fast enough processor, and everything installed just fine. google to find the hack, it is pressty easy, even if you have little experience.
it could have a bad ATA bus, I had a clamshell w/ that problem once. Also, have you tried to start another mac in target disk mode and boot the ibook off of that?
Went to the recycling center today, and they had a lot of macs there, including an LC II and Mac IIsi, but all I took to keep was a //GS, which I have yet to test, and an iMac G4 20". I am incredibly excited about the 20" iMac. I'm installing leopard on it right now. I think this will make a...
As long as your serial # starts with W860..., you should be good to go. Apple support forums are down right now, so I can't provide any more links that might help you.

If it has any vertical lines in the screen it can have the LCD replaced for free, even if it is out of warranty. I got one for $20, with ~150 lines in the screen, and I called Apple customer care, and they told me to take it to the Apple store near me. The Apple store took one look at it and...
Do you know the voltage/can you post a picture of your power cord? I think it would work, but I really don't know if the power cord I have will work with it.
also, is there a pram battery that would need to be removed to get it to boot?
I have a MacBook and a 17" powerbook in various states of disrepair, and before I try to hack them together, I would like to know if the screen for the powerbook would work on the macbook, or if it would just short out the video connector if i tried to make it work. I think it is impossible, but...
