Twentieth Anniversary Mac PSU Recap List

Oh perfect.. I’ve been meaning to do this for both of my TAMs! Did you also do the main machine?

    Power mac g4 HD

Well that depends.. if it’s currently running 10.0.0 and they end up with a MDD they’ll need at least.. 10.2? So the combi update won’t work in that situation.

    Power mac g4 HD

It’ll depend on the version of OSX but even if it doesn’t likely an upgrade to a slightly newer version will work, although make sure the drum scanner software works with that.. scanners are notoriously bad for driver updates

    Power mac g4 HD

It depends on what model you move the hard disk into, and what OS it’s running. If it’s an identical model, or one that can run the OS that’s currently installed, then you’ll be able to just switch the HDs around. If you upgrade it to a newer model, you’ll still be able to switch the hard...

Developping a new After Dark 3 screen saver, the "Screen Shaver" based on Japhy's idea and art

That's an awesome idea. Also maybe occasionally cuts itself? 😅

suggestions to pack & ship a (black) 5500

Just fyi taking off the plastic shell is actually very easy in these, it basically breaks apart into 3 parts with about 6 screws. The computer itself is mostly enclosed in a metal shell so if the plastic is carefully removed the shell will be fairly robust

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

That's the one! I tried it a while ago and it was really nifty, then just couldn't remember what it was I'd been using. I have plans to one day get the waybackmachine functionality integrated into my Home Automation controller (Indigo Domotics) so I can set a date from a control page.. which I...

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

Well that’s fair! I have two piSCSIs that I use, and quite a few BlueSCSI and other similar devices.. I particularly love the piSCSIs for the web interface for loading images, so I keep one in a 7100 I use as a vintage file server.. so that coupled with all the other things that @mactjaap ’s...

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

I had no idea that’d happened.. can you tell us why? Also +1 on including piSCSI. I’ve got it installed on mine, and whilst it was easy to install it’s just another one of those faffy things that’d be awesome to be just included with a “do it all” image. I believe MacProxy was also being...

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

Awesome! Don’t worry about it at the moment.. it was more just a suggestion for the future! I’m wondering, when there is a future update is there any way to update the existing install or does it require reimaging the system?

    Disable NAT on MacIPGW?

I'll have a crack at that. I feel like it's something within my capabilities.. so expect a message from me later all very confused.. :D That I don't know how to do.. could you give more information on how, and what the benefits of that would be?

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

I've been using this the last couple of weeks and it's been *amazing*, thank you so much for your hard work. One wee thing I'd like to suggest for a future update, on first login would it be possible for your script to ask the user to define the hostname, then update the script based on that...

    Disable NAT on MacIPGW?

I'm using @mactjaap's amazing MacIPRpi on a Raspberry Pi and it's working great, but I'm wondering if it's possible to disable the NAT element and use the IP range I have setup for the VLAN that my vintage network uses? I mainly want to do this simply because.. honestly.. I struggle with some...

Did you make sure to install the new chips in the correct orientation? They're pretty easy to get mixed up.
