Macintosh SE & External BlueScsi Power Delivery?

The only thing i figured out was the the 5010 model did need external power through the microUSB ports and all of my 5011 models worked independently without external power.

Macintosh SE & External BlueScsi Power Delivery?

I have an External Blue SCSI. When used with my Macintosh SE FDHD Model 5011, the SCSI device works perfectly fine without the need for a micro usb power source. With my Macintosh SE Model 5010, The device only works if I power it with a micro usb cable. I thought this only applied to the Plus...

    EPROM Programmer Recommendations

Sorry I had the order wrong but MBDF crash. Basically since the old ROMs supported system 6 and not 7. I’m pretty sure it’s a general error in loading the system files.

    EPROM Programmer Recommendations

I have found all the extensions from forums on this website. I can confirm that the extensions do speed up boot times before the new ROM chips are installed, but result in MFBD crashes due to system incompatibility. The Patch extension fixes buzzed audio that came from the original ROM firmware...

    EPROM Programmer Recommendations

Perfect because I'm in Ohio I could not find a forum that was complete for this specific issue so here is a link to the v.2.1 Roms which should make a Radius Accelerator SE (16mhz and 25mhz) compatible with System 7 https://www.macintoshrepository.org/27255-radius-se-accelerator-2-1-roms

    EPROM Programmer Recommendations

Mentioned in a previous thread. I came across a Radius Accelerator SE 16mhz. The board works perfectly fine, only issue is that the ROM chips are programmed for system 6. In order to have the card support system 7 I need to flash the ROMs with the latest firmware. From photos of the board...

    Mac SE with System 7.1J

well That ruins the fun of discovering how to do it myself. If I knew anyone in my area I would but I’m in a relatively rural area where finding someone that would know anything about vintage macs would be difficult to find I have 3 systems with 1 being the experiment mac. So i will just put...

    Mac SE with System 7.1J

Yes I went into the settings on boot by holding the mouse button and turned the card off while it’s in the system. I’m saving up for a bluescsi so I can save the HDD’s.

    Mac SE with System 7.1J

This is the issue with my Radius SE in my other system with system 7.0.1. The Rom firmware only supported up to system 6.08 unless you sent the card in to Radius for the ROMs to be updated or the know how and files to do it yourself.

    Mac SE with System 7.1J

That would make more sense, I see no signs of tampering with the board itself

    Mac SE with System 7.1J

Im pretty sure this system is setup already to use the accelerator, the system shows under "about this Mac" that it has 15,808Kb of ram. My knowledge base so far hasn't gotten to making disk images of the system or backing up software so lll have to learn how to do that. When I purchased this...

    Mac SE with System 7.1J

Ive been collecting Vintage Macs recently as a side hobby. Recently I got another Mac SE in that originally belonged to someone who spoke Japanese. The system was upgraded several times with a 1.4mb drive, 40mb HDD and the extra benefit of this Mac is that it has a Sonnet Allegro Accelerator...

    Mainboard Removal with, Radius Accelerator

you're good, I pretty much got my original questions answered, I now have to get a SCSI HDD emulator. I Got to first try with a fresh install of system 6 and see if its just the firmware compatibility and then find the old Radius software/firmware and drivers and attempt to update the card to...

    Mainboard Removal with, Radius Accelerator

The main system with the accelerator is a FDHD with a 1.4mb floppy drive, and has system 7.5.5 installed. The other system is a regular SE with 2x 800k drives but the harddisk has no OS installed Edit: to fully answer the question, I do not know if the drives work, I have a plastic test disk...

    Mainboard Removal with, Radius Accelerator

would this be solved by a reinstall of an OS or is it a deeper problem with the card itself. I currently do not have a bluescsi or any other HDD emulator, would there be another way of getting software onto the mac

    Mainboard Removal with, Radius Accelerator

The system was running and booting into the OS just fine until I installed the card, granted I did not test it today before the install, last time I booted it up was about 2 weeks ago. So far from what I have gotten out of the fourms is that it may be incompatibility with the rom firmware...
