I created a .iso and virtual drive image for use in Basilisk/SheepShaver that explains it a bit better. I also include a config file called "ClassicMacs" to log you in. Just douible-click it. I'll put up a link to it if you (or anyone else) wants it...

Usually the "no first class server" is due to the network connection on the client itself. Were you able to download the FC client app?

We have a permanent FirstClass server with over 290gb and over 8,100 files to download for classic Macs. What is FirstClass? It's a GUI BBS for classic Macs from the 80's & 90's. Not a lot of them around anymore but this is the best way to get apps for classic Macs that can not access websites...
