    Evie's Conquests

Received the Performa 476 I purchased from @AppaloosaMac today. It runs great!

    Evie's Conquests

I paid $125 for this one but it came loaded (maxed RAM, the full AV kit, USB card, etc). Don't regret it it all! The 9.1 install needs to go, though. This system just doesn't have the grunt for OS 9.

    Evie's Conquests

Local-ish, picked it up at VCF East in New Jersey. I'd never ship one of these, they're fragile enough as is!

    Evie's Conquests

I sold my Power Mac 5400 and I was missing it, so naturally when the opportunity presented itself I bought another one.

Power Mac 7600 PSU clicks but doesn't start up

Is there a thread/blog post about what specific kind of PSU I would use to do that?

Power Mac 7600 PSU clicks but doesn't start up

That's no good...at least I know I have a working machine for now, even if the power supply decides to drop dead.

    Katheryn's (k24a1)'s conquests

I had to replace the power supply in my 2.1GHz iMac G5 but after I did that, it was fine.

    Evie's Conquests

After a few failed attempts, I finally got my hands on a PowerBook 540c! It works great, the plastics are intact enough to manage, and I'm very happy.

Power Mac 7600 PSU clicks but doesn't start up

So somehow me blasting 10 tons of dust out of the 7600 with an air compressor fixed the power supply? I guess something was shorting!

Are Apple CPU cards compatible across all PCI power Mac models?

I was going to make a thread about this because I have a 7600/120 and a 200MHz card from a junked 9500 and I wonder if the 200MHz card would work in the 7600.

    Evie's Conquests

Yeah, I have only seen two 7600s for sale recently and the other one was sold by a zero feedback seller for more than I paid for this one.

    Evie's Conquests

I got myself a slightly battered (internally, anyway) and also faulty Power Mac 7600/120, not exactly ideal to get one in this condition but they're pretty hard to get AT ALL.

Power Mac 7600 PSU clicks but doesn't start up

I just acquired a Power Mac 7600/120 and it seems to have a power issue, but I'm not entirely sure what the issue is. When you press the power switch on the motherboard, the power LED lights up green for just a second and there's a click from the power supply, but the system doesn't start up...

This is an A2S4000 but definitely has Alps keyswitches, that or very blatant clones.

    Evie's Conquests

Unfortunately I can't run those commands because currently my system is constantly registering key presses that aren't happening (despite no keys being physically stuck down). No idea what causes this...

    Evie's Conquests

The IIc itself is an A2S4000 so I think the monitor was a later purchase...not that I mind, green screens are nice but this monitor is nice too. I don't know yet which ROM version I have but it's definitely not the original revision IIc because it doesn't have the keyboard with the rubber mat...

    Evie's Conquests

It's not a Mac but I picked up this Apple IIc bundle yesterday for $125, there's more that came with it (including an ImageWriter II and various disks and manuals) but I haven't processed them yet. The monitor is not the usual Apple IIc monitor but instead the 12" monochrome composite monitor...

    Got MO?

I sure wish I had MO, beyond a MiniDisc player and small collection of discs that is.

Affordable graphics card upgrade options for G4 Cube

I'm surprised too! I thought I'd find one but all I find are PC cards.

Affordable graphics card upgrade options for G4 Cube

https://www.ebay.com/itm/353801822391? This is the Dell Radeon 7500 I was talking about, it has VGA and S-video only and 32MB RAM. No idea if it's DDR or SDR, if it's DDR it's probably a decent performer but SDR wouldn't be much better than the stock card.
