I ran YDL on mine back in the day and had everything working... but it's been a long time. I'm pretty sure it was newer YDL than 3.0... probably 4 or 5? Are the YDL update repositories even available anymore?
I showed the board to some of my fellow keyboard nerds and they also pointed out that you can put the pro-micro on the under side of the PCB which sandwiches the port against the PCB providing it additional support.
Elite-C are the ones I've used in the past for keyboard projects. Wasn't aware of the BIT-C ones. They don't look as nice as the Elite-C for that price, but if it works it works. Looks like the BIT-C has a vendor in Europe also which may be a plus for some:
I've had really weird issues with IDE to SATA adapters in G3/G4 systems... in the end I never could get any to fully work properly in my beige G3s and I did finally get one to work (at least last I was messing with it) in my Cube. They're a bit odd and finicky.
Appreciate the offer, but don't need one at the moment (I mostly use my wombat currently).
I believe they tend to rip the pads right off the PCB. The USB Micro ports don't have good through-PCB support legs to hold them on. It was such an issue that the custom keyboard community designed...
Nice, I have one of these bare wired up on a teensy already... it was a massive pain. A little PCB like this would have made it significantly easier.
If you can find them and spend the extra for one, I recommend getting a pro micro compatible board with anything but USB micro though. Those...
Was running quicker for me from the torrent than from archive.org (which is usually the case). No idea how long it took me, I tossed it on the torrent server on my NAS and promptly forgot about it until I checked on it now and said it was done and had been seeding a fair bit.
Worth noting, the faster easier way to download it would probably be via the torrent file they offer. It can be accessed at the main details page and you can have your client just download the Mac archive.
Nice! If only we could find one closer to the stock PSU it'd be perfect. Would be nice to be able to power ADC displays also. I think I'd probably be most comfortable running it on the 110 just for some headroom.
They should be fine as long as they're 100ns or faster and they need to be installed in a matched bank (four identical simms), though I've not seen anything about parity compatibility so unsure if that would be the issue. This page suggests that it shouldn't be...
The software mod seems correct (I've got a CC running 7.5 this way.) Unsure why you might not be getting video otherwise. Personally I'd try to test the 575 board in other hardware if possible (may not be since it sounds like you just got the board). You could try re-seating it and cleaning the...
I'm having a similar issue on a Color Classic (with the addition of a little distortion when it brightens), be curious to know if it's a similar cause. I didn't hit all the smaller caps on my AB or the big filter cap, but did most of the others.
Hmmm I'll have to look at this on mine. I've taken apart, shrunk the belt, cleaned the rollers the belt was on, cleaned the disk rollers thoroughly and even attempted to glue them to the bar they rotate on to make sure they weren't slipping, and mine still struggles to eject... would be really...
