Happens on my 8500 I was using to set it up, when it actually worked with the sd card I used. It didnt like the 32GB sd card I first used and would sad Mac my 475. The 8500 would start but bomb as soon as it started loading up.
You could try different SD cards?
Oh 9.1 and probably 9.2 would work dandy on my Powerbase. I was wanting to playsome Diablo 2 and it needs 128MB free, if i remember right. I think I user virtual memory in the olden days to get there. I went through and disabled some unnecessary extensions and suchbut it made little difference.
I think youmay be confusing it with the Rev A B&W G3s which had a faulty ide controller. I think the later Roms allowed the full use of the ide bus on the Beiges
I assume the official ix3D cards with the official drivers most likely outperformed Apples ones. Apple was never good at keeping their drivers updated.

It used a modified Tanzania design. Even clones that used the Tanzania II board had the same RAM limitations. Both boards used the same memory controller, I assume.
I the unpopolated spot would be for the weird 32MB + 64MB + 64MB setup the tanzania (& tanzania 2) boarda used. Ive tried asking but I dont know of any way to circumvent those maximums.
Does anyone know if anyone has ever looked into the odd memory limitations on Tanzania boards (clones like my Powerbase). No 128MB DIMMs and the weird 32MB and two 64MB DIMMs max. Research ever been done into overcoming it or finding some way to enable the use of 128MB DIMMs?
Nah, my mistake. It was my SD card I was using. It just took a minute to diagnose it. Managing a one year old toddler, a job, and the fact I do all the household work means my time is VERY limited.

Does anyone know if a simple female to female DB25 adapter like this would work for scsi. I just need to change a male port on an external device so that i can use my regular scsi DB25 cable.
I would think a Kanga would command a little more than the Wallstreet and "newer" generation g3 Powerbooks. Its an interesting model you dont often see.
Yeah, I figured. My azulscsi had a male db25 soldered to it, unfortunately.
Ill just have to get a switched gender coupler for it. I might just take the scsi cable from my 8500 till I can fix it. I just need them both hooked up to copy everything over to the partitions on the sd card.
