The plot thickens... I realized that when I played the one custom sound (previous owner) from the sound control panel it wasn't actually crashing... It was just a long sound sample. I plugged in headphones and while not loud, the sound is present and clear...

Did yours crash when playing some sounds too? Agree recapping is a must but can't do it myself so need assistance.

Or maybe someone has an SE or SE/30 that I could send my mobo to for recapping?

Now if I can just find someone in the bay area willing to recap my se/30!

I have BlueSCSI running on my Quadra's. It worked with the Q840av straight away. However, the Q650 gave me trouble at first. In my case it was a combination of SCSI ID conflict with the CD-ROM Drive and setting termination properly.
