Also I tried the latest firmware in the dev branch as I was going to try to the cdrom iso stuff but I had no luck, I set the correct config settings for the 128 variant of the atmega and I get some flashing leds but nothing else. I haven’t tried the boot loader yest just tried PDI programming...

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

@saybur that's absolutely fine, my intention was always to offer the files free to anyone who wants to print them also @cheesestraws I love the backplate, im working on a dual PDS adaptor for my SE/30 atm so I'll make sure to add a few of these back plates to my next order

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

hi saybur, I have been absent for quite awhile due to a busy workload with school, just wanted to say that I think its great you're still working on this and have a bootloader work, also I noticed a few post later that you have some initial CD-ROM support working. I have a couple weeks free from...

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

just finished up some testing with the latest firmware using daynaport emulation: FTP maxes out around 93KB/s now, so that's a couple KB/s faster then last firmware appleshare no longer hangs the system doing a transfer from my main SE/30 with PDs network card over to my scuznet se/30 test rig...

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

I believe a bit is set in the pram to determine if OT should be enabled rather classic networking during the boot

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

after running the appleshare transfer I left the room and came back a bit later and it seems to have frozen my se/30 are 5mb of transfer interestingly though if I connect to an appleshare on my Main SE/30 then my testing se/30 (hopefully that makes sense) with the daynaport it starts off pretty...

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

I can confirm this change has fixed my ftp freezing the system, in fact with since my last round of testing I have seen a slight increase in ftp transfer speeds, I now get around 91KB/s, and it also ramps up much faster too. as for appleshare, transferring my OS X server 1.4.11 I still get very...

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

hi guys, I haven't had much free time the last week to get on the forums here and check out the current status of the scuznet, I should have some free time this weekend though to do some testing though. as for the IDC50 pin version of the hardware, I did make some a little while ago with the...

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

I can report that has fixed up my sluggish hdd issue, mode=forcefast now runs well. I haven't done any other testing yet. I may get time tonight to test out some things but if not I'll have time tomorrow to check things out. I did do a quick AppleTalk transfer test with the Dayna emulation and I...

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

so ive tried out the new firmware with the nuvo emulation enabled but I still get the freeze in fetch with a movable mouse pointer and reseting the Mac required a power cycle on the scuznet fo hit to see the hdd to boot from. also the hard drive emulation is very sluggish, I have a 2gb hdd.img...

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

thanks for the kind words, I'll test out the new firmware, just to clarify though, "mode=normal" replaces 'mode=fast' and checks if the hdd image file is contiguous and if so switched to raw access? im assuming that 'mode=fast' and 'mode=forcefast' are no longer valid arguments in scuznet.ini?

SCSI to Ethernet Adapter on New Hardware

so tried a isolated network between the se/30 and a Mac mini using a old router and I was actually able to connect and mount the afp share most of the time but unfortunately it would still hang the system so for now ive put the scuznet on the back burner as I'm still waiting on my order...

se/30 and/or other classic Mac video output direct conversion

just wondering if anyone knows much about getting Video output from these old classic Macs directly from the logic board harness, correct me if im wrong but I think the se/30 has some form of a composite out pin as well as (I think) h/v-sync pins... so im wondering about if its possible to adapt...

Arduino SCSI device - Work in Progress

well with a passive terminator the the stm bluepill l uses 140ma of current on a 5v volt rail. but I don't seem to need to use scsi termination when its connected to my se/30. i wouldn't be surprised if the bluepill has built in internal pull-ups on the lines used for the scsi interface so...

    3D-Printed Objects

hey Cheesestraws, sorry for the late reply to this, I know you were interested in seeing the innards and I only just got around to taking a few pictures, there's a lot of ribbon cables that obviously would need to be shortened should I get back to working on this but hopefully these pictures...

I have unplugged it from its 'place' below my se/30 so I'll do my best to upload some pictures of the internals either tomorrow or the next day, being that its on my main lab bench I won't forget lol.

I have a performa 630DOS that had a damaged case and I got a little bored and started working on a case a while ago the removes the mechanical hdd (replaced with a Compact Flash card), removed the scsi CD-ROM drive, replaced the floppy drive with a FloppyEMU (using Gerber files I found online...
