    RaSCSI Development Thread

Millions of colors? Cool. Were you using the RaSCSI or PiSCSI with the Rasberry Pi? The Pi has memory and may do thousands or millions of colors. As for the portion of the screen, that may be normal with HDMI monitors. I have the same issue when I use the lower resolutions at thousands of...

    RaSCSI Development Thread

Hi! I am wondering if there are any updates on this. Does anyone have pictures of the setup? Does it display color and extend to a monitor via HDMI from the SE/30 using the RaSCSI or PiSCSI? How many colors at 800x600 resolution? Is there a way we can add VRAM and then place it internally in...

    Mystery Slot In Quadra 605

Hmmm. And the later version boards lacked that 64-pin SIMM socket. Okay. Has there been any talk about looking into this further?

    Mystery Slot In Quadra 605

While early Q605, LC475, and P475/P476 boards had a ROM SIMM, what do the later revision version boards look like for the ROM? Are they soldered on the board? Can we compare it with pictures?

Reviving Mike Willegal's 'Brain Board' For Apple II computers

Okay, I will try contacting Mike. A lot of interfacing can be done via the game port. I can contact some folks and get more information. Yes. The Apple I "disk images" are either text or audio. I believe the latter is more widespread because it was easy to use the cassette tape with the...

Reviving Mike Willegal's 'Brain Board' For Apple II computers

I would love to try it on my IIGS, but I still need a cassette interface. So, as a workaround, can IIGS owners have the audio files converted to a floppy disk or image, as there are ways to do that already? I'd be happy to test that way. I suggest moving forward with this project to ensure...

Reviving Mike Willegal's 'Brain Board' For Apple II computers

The Apple IIGS has a game port. It can have many, many things hooked up to it. A small cassette interface board can be hooked up to the game port. That would need to be done, which I think will be relatively cheap. See my post above that included the components needed to build that: a circuit...

Reviving Mike Willegal's 'Brain Board' For Apple II computers

Hmmm. :sneaky:💭 <-- @Skate323k137 :D <-- @jajan547 Aha! 🤓☝️ The Apple ][, ][+, and earlier //e used the MOS 6502 CPU. The IIGS was set up to have 8-bit and 16-bit modes. 8-bit programs for the Apple ][, ][+, and earlier //e could be run on the Apple IIGS that the 65C02 could process...

Reviving Mike Willegal's 'Brain Board' For Apple II computers

I may need to put the switch in front since it would be hard to get behind the IIGS in my set up.

Hmmm, I like the power switch. That means turning it off, and the IIGS can use the slot for whatever other resources I need the slot for.

@jajan547, what is that on/off switch on the card for? :sneaky: 🚀

Reviving Mike Willegal's 'Brain Board' For Apple II computers

Hey @Skate323k137 and @jajan547! Would this work in Apple IIGS? One of the above pics is an enhanced Apple //e in a platinum case, so I think it should work in an IIGS ROM 1.
