What is your experience with the 'Saft' battery?

I ran into some problems after installing this. · Can't read files from a Compact Flash card, Finder always gives me error -108. Can't even copy them to hard disk. Used a PowerBook 190 running System 7.5.2 to format and copy files to the CF card. · Some HFS disk images can't be mounted...

Thanks all for your help, finally I could open it and remove the inner batteries. Now the battery compartment is covered :)

I couldn't open the battery, I'll have to find another solution. Anybody has an empty battery enclosure?

I tried to clean as much as I could, some contacts were broken due to corrosion. I couldn't clean everything. Also found a small amount of that blue stuff on a chip near the battery compartment, I didn't want to touch it to avoid damage. Leaving that there will damage the PowerBook? Is there...

I tried with a regular CRT display but it didn't work. Neither worked another video card. I'll end replacing the motherboard...
