I've got the same thing going on with mine.

I've got some old solder in the usual places like below the RAM banks, and some fuzzy solder in some other areas, but nothing like near your sound...
Repeated RAM tests pass, no indication of bodgy RAM. ... It has been fussy about RAM disks before though, but in a weird way: if a RAM disk was open, Disk Copy 6.3.3 would bomb the system. The reboots are random, even while during start up sequence.
I'm getting random reboots on my SE/30.
The power supply has been fully recapped, the motherboard was recapped some time ago, the ROM SIMM has had the contacts reflowed yesterday so now it actually boots. Power supply voltages are fine. No visibly damaged traces or anything abnormal. Any...
Not as far as I can tell.

There was someone on VCF advertising one, but that was in 2009. sadge
True, but the system connectivity limitations remained the same. 10.4 Tiger and 10.4 Tiger Server still have the same requirement for AFP over TCP, unless it's a printer.
Looks good! Tell me though. What version of Mac OS X/macOS would this have compatibility with? 10.4 Tiger compatibility is probably a long shot, but since many of us still have PPC OS X boxes, it would be nice to have that. Also I have a Intel mac mini that cannot go beyond 10.15, so...it's...
I was thinking of a user-adjustable toggle for the different frequencies.
I reckon the Farallon Etherwave Mac/PB adapter just has some onboard doohickey that looks at error rate and dials up / down as necessary. That requires a driver though, and I don't think we have too many people who can...
If you're making PhoneNET adapters, a solid argument can be made for making a so-called Universal Serial Adapter.
Such an adapter would have a DE-9 connector, Mini-DIN 8 connector, activity light, built-in terminator switch, and be capable of switching over to RS232 interfacing. So like...
Think it may be because of this?
According to my notes, if you selected EtherTalk, then it only works over a LAN, but Ethernet lets you connect out. I'd have to verify that, checking...
E: Nothing worked when it was selected to EtherTalk. Couldn't connect to my ftp server on the LAN. Just said...
I getcha.
MacTCP does not, according to my understanding, work with AppleTalk at all. I'd have to double-check about MacIP, but otherwise, not according to the information I'm aware of.
This is 7.1 working an outside WAN FTP connection with AppleTalk off, via the Ethernet port. A SCSI...
The design for the single port adapters is different than the twin port adapters.

That's all I've got for a twin port adapter. I'd have to break open my single port adapter to find out...
