Yes but the Apple IIe has rectangular holes where they must fit through. And the bottom is a circle that sits flush with the case. I really wonder if those are standard parts.
Hello guys. I had to remove the motherboard in a IIe to address the corrosion below it.
Unfortunately some of the plastic standoffs were very brittle and crumbled away.
Where can I get replacements? I saw that they are sold at...
I have to disagree. I have been searching the internet for hours when I got the LC and didn't find this driver. There are formac drivers (even cds) in the internet but not for cpu cards.
You can access the ftp server from formac.com with wayback machine and find this...
Hello guys. I recently found a 33 MHz formac accelerator card in an old Macintosh LC.
Fortunately the hard drive (Quantum) was still working and I got everything off it before it failed :( .
Among other things I found a Control Panel file called "ProCPU_V1.06". I searched the 68kmla to get a...
Thanks for all the replies. Unfortunately neither the internal SCSI nor the external are working. I tested everything thoroughly with a lot of possible combinations and different drives.
And yes I tested the quantum drive on a different machine and even got the driver for the accelerator off...
Hello folks,
I just got me a very cheap Macintosh LC from the bay. Battery didn't explode fortunately and capacitors only leaked slightly.
Has got a very nice Accelerator Card with 68030 and 68882 FPU in the PDS slot.
I cleaned everything thorougly with water, soap and isopropyl alcohol after...
Strange. After turning it on and off a couple times yesterday and letting it run for some time it seems to be fixed today. No more horizontal lines and the screen looks perfect. Maybe I will still recap it but this is very nice. I remember reading about self-healing of capacitors.
I recently got 2 Macintosh SE (lets call them A and B). A is a Macintosh SE 1/20 from 1987 and B is a SE FDHD. Macintosh B had a broken CRT where air got inside. So I replaced the CRT today but there is some flickering going on (moving thin horizontal lines.)
Even worse when I placed both SE...
Hello folks,
I just acquired my first pre 2000 Macintosh (Macintosh SE FDHD) and noticed a nasty problem with the case. Two plastic spacers connecting the metal cage to the front casing are broken off. It looks like the owner used the wrong type of screws at some point or dropped it.
So I...
