    Installing Lisa Tools

Create a folder on your Hard Disk and name it for the software. Then go to your floppy, mark all of the files, make a duplicate and drag the blinking duplicates to the folder. :)

Color Classic VGA mod with stock logic board - will it work?

I have to check that, I haven't done the mod myself, it was modded when I bought it used and never opened it up since them. :D

Color Classic VGA mod with stock logic board - will it work?

I've scored a CC with ThunderCachePro last year and it's modded to 640x480 with the stock logic board, so yes it's possible.

Macintosh 512K painted black - paint stripping options?

I had a similar problem with my Lisa 2/10 which was painted black. After a lot of research, I found a few threads in model making forums about removing paint from ABS plastics. They recommended Methoxypropanol or Propylenglycolemethylether which is used as a solvent in art and painting. It...

EU Tester required: 128k/512k/Plus analogboard recreation

Hi Daan, I'm interested - I have an analog board with water damage where some of the traces start to corrode away which would be nice to recreate. Regards, Julian

    MicroMac ThunderCache Pro find

Okay, solved the problem. The empty PRAM battery was the fault - replaced it with a CR2032, turned the 32bit memory mode on, rebooted it, turned it off, installed the accelerator and it booted fine :)

    MicroMac ThunderCache Pro find

I finally managed to get a ThunderCache Pro too, but mine seems to be broken.. The Color Classic chimes, the white screen comes on and then it stuck.. Sad for me, don't think there's much to troubleshoot on it. Changed the SIMMs in many different ways but nothing, so the search continues..

    Death of a BlueSCSI

Yep, the Plus needs the Diode Mod to deliver termination power. Does the Mac SE has a fuse for the SCSI termination power, like the Mac II has? Maybe did just blow the fuse. Did you try powering the BlueSCSI via USB or the Molex plug?

Trying to fix a Backlit Portable

Yep, I‘ve tried it in both connectors. I‘ll check the INDISK-signal at home, but also an external drive doesn‘t do anything.

Trying to fix a Backlit Portable

No, the floppy starts searching and that’s it - it rotates and moves for a few seconds and then nothing, no X, no ‘Disk cannot be read’ or something like this - maybe I’ll check the Lines in the next days. :)

Trying to fix a Backlit Portable

Hey cb5890, yeah, seems my PMGR was toast. I desoldered it, cleaned it, soldered it back in place and still nothing. Then I got a broken PB100 and changed the PMGRs, I powered my Portable on and: check! Booted right into 7.0.1 from my BlueSCSI. The only problem now is, that the floppy is not...

Classic sad Mac 00000003 00040000 after recap and cleaning

Yep, it was indeed a broken RAM. The two chips on UK1 and UK2 were slightly warmer then the rest, so I used my Hantek Oscilloscope to check all the RAM chips on board and figured out that Pin 18 DQ3 on UK1 and UK2 showed a weird pattern compared to the other chips. Replaced them with two chips...

Classic sad Mac 00000003 00040000 after recap and cleaning

Hey, did you found a solution for the problem? Got a Mac Classic with the same 00000003 error, but my Mac says it's 00008000.
