    Loosening Powerbook g4 Ti Hinges

Is it possible to loosen the screen hinges without replacing them? I have a 1Ghz Ti where the hinges have started to stiffen up while it's in use, to the point where I can't close the lid until it cools down.

Netgear MA101 Mac OS 9 Drivers

Does anybody still have Thomas McQuitty's modified OS9 Belkin drivers for the Netgear MA101 Wifi bridge? There's not many references about this anymore but he wrote a guide on modifying the OSX drivers here, but doesn't mention the required OS9 modifications. Low End Mac and an old Apple...

    PM7100 No Chime, No Video.

That's a strange one, the first generation PPCs can be tricky. Have you tried removing the Sonnet and booting without it? I know for sure that a 6100 will give the exact same symptoms without a new/good battery. Did you use an anti-static wrist strap? I killed a machine of the same generation...

    Beta testers needed

Hello! I'm finishing a new application called Conversant, it's a chat room/messenger application for Macintosh. There's some small bugs I'm aware of already but I wanted to get some feedback on pain points and any issues that may occur during use. It's very simple at this stage, and is only...

    Mac Pro 2008

Yeah I bought it from MacVidCards years ago. Bootcamp was fantastic and ran all current games well up until around ~5 years ago, maybe an upgraded GPU would have helped.

    Mac Pro 2008

Nice one!! I've got the same model and love it, it's insanely versatile. Until ~5 years ago I used it as my work from home computer and gaming PC with an NVIDIA GTX 770 (4GB) on Windows 7. I still use it today for work, but there's so many different systems you can run on it with ease. One...

    Powerbook G3 Pismo seemingly dead?

There's at least one on the logic board near the PCMCIA slot, and three on the underside of the power card

    Powerbook G3 Pismo seemingly dead?

The 500Mhz CPU is nice! They're quite hard to find now. I'm pretty sure the power cards fail on the Pismo often. I had the same issue, no power or signs of life but after replacing the power card from another Pismo (working) it booted normally. It would be worth re-capping the machine as this is...

Silicon Image SIL3112 Flashing: Easier Way Using flashrom

@treellama where did you source your AM29F040B from? Should I be looking for one that operates at 12v? In the datasheets I've looked at for AM29F040B these models run at 5v and I haven't been able to find anything on eBay that explicitly gives an operating voltage.
