    I'm working on an RPG!

Thank you all so much!! :D I've been swamped with work, but I plan on working on this project a lot more in August if time permits! It's very prototype-y at the moment, but it hashes out basic system fairly well. :)

    I'm working on an RPG!

Thank you both so much! It's a project I've been working on in my spare time, so I'm not sure when I'll be finished, but I'll keep folks in the loop when it's done.

    I'm working on an RPG!

This one should be absolutely fine on 68k Macs - I made the project, and have been playing it on, a Macintosh SE with 4MB of RAM :)

    I'm working on an RPG!

Much appreciated everyone! 😊 You've made my afternoon :) The graphics themselves were made in ClarisWorks 2.0 (using their paint application) and SuperPaint 2.0! I've been working on the project entirely on my SE, and took these screens from an emulator. :)

    I'm working on an RPG!

I like ordered lists. Let's go, gamers!: Prototype/alpha/proof-of-concept stage (super-duper short)! Made in HyperCard 2.1 First person! Random battles! Character growth through leveling! Challenging! Content added in each update! Free forever! Here are a few screens: You can grab the...

Macintosh SE and a HyperCharger '020 Accelerator

I've tried both SANE settings in the HyperCharger Control Panel, both GCC (General Computer Corporation) and SANE and am getting the same results. I might fire up Swift 3D to see what happens since it relies heavily on the FPU to my knowledge. I'm betting that ExSys is having the something to...

Macintosh SE and a HyperCharger '020 Accelerator

I forgot to update this thread – I gave @cgp 's driver a shot with System 6 and the Mac actually booted with this set of HyperCharger drivers! For some reason, the 2.0 version never seemed to work - System 6 would freeze as soon as it tried to load the driver, but this version works fine...

Macintosh SE and a HyperCharger '020 Accelerator

Just checked the one you posted out – it appears to be the same that's on the Garden. My mistake! I thought this might've been a version that wasn't archived yet. :) I could never get the drivers that GCC to work properly no matter which system I tried. I wanted to double-check and see if this...

Macintosh SE and a HyperCharger '020 Accelerator

cgp, you're a godsend for providing this stuff. Thank you so much!! I will try out this hqx on the one I have too and will report back here. Would you be cool with uploading this to the Macintosh Garden so it can be preserved? I don't mind uploading it for you either if you'd like (I'd credit...

Macintosh SE and a HyperCharger '020 Accelerator

From what I discovered, I was able to use 4 MB of the accelerator's RAM, and it uses the LB's RAM for maybe some caching. Being able to use 8 MB would be cool, but I'm with you on this one - I don't think it would be possible unless there were some new drivers made for it.

Macintosh SE and a HyperCharger '020 Accelerator

I extension and control panel gave me a hard time. In all the drivers I've come across, there was a HyperCharger 020 and HyperCharger INIT file. Installing both of those yielded these results: System 6.0.8 - Freeze when loading the extensions System 6.0.7 - Freeze when loading the extensions...

Macintosh SE and a HyperCharger '020 Accelerator

This is cool! I've never seen the pinouts detailed like this before! That's what I was thinking as well. :) The accelerator has been running great.

Macintosh SE and a HyperCharger '020 Accelerator

I wanted to drop by this thread and ask about something I had on my mind… I am well aware this is probably silly question. Is it possible to accelerate an accelerator? For instance, with this HyperCharger, upgrading the 68020 to a 68030 by dropping in a pin-compatible CPU? No plans to do this...
